Got a question about blindness or blind perspectives that you’ve always been too shy to ask? Think there’s an issue that could benefit from some frank yet friendly discussion? Have a constructive suggestion for the blog in general? Leave a comment right here and let me know what you want to see!

Hi Michelle
The blog is off to a great start. I’m very curious to know how you have developed your style persona?
How did you know you prefer modern classic clothes and develop your old Hollywood look?
Thank you
Julie
I am really just dying to know more about how you cook. When I started participating on ylf, I had no idea you were blind. It was weeks before I realized why Marianna would sometimes post for you, etc.
Now, I find that every time I’m in the kitchen I think about you. I close my eyes and imagine what it would be like to try to cut things up, figure out when the onions have become translucent in the pan, get something out of the oven without burning myself, and that sort of thing.
I can have all of my senses in tact and have fully functioning limbs, yet I OFTEN end up in tears in the kitchen. I am just awed by the idea that not only do you cook, you apparently really enjoy cooking!
Oh, I have another question too. Since you can’t read what we type, I’m guessing that perhaps you use a text to voice program. Are there things we can do when typing that will help our text translate better? Should I type “et cetera” instead of “etc.”? Do ansii smiley faces come through?
Thank you,
Jenny

I saw your post on YLF about plus-sized blouses. Did you see this one at Nordstrom? (on sale, too!) THere is also a solid colored version in black and a really pretty turquoise

JennyK here again. I have a really personal question. I hesitate to even ask because it is so not our business. Feel free to totally ignore it. Have you thought about having children, and what that might mean as a blind person. Now that I have my new little twins, I think about you a lot and think about how I might handle various things if I couldn’t see them.
Hey Jenny,
